The BeWise services are for women 50-64. It is an extension of the Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening. Eligibility is based on household size and income. Women with insurance may qualify.
BeWise services will provide a free blood pressure check, cholesterol, sugar/glucose screenings, a voucher for a free mammogram, breast exam, pap test, and if treatment necessary, first visit to medical provider will be paid. A Lifestyle Coach will review screenings and assist women in setting personal goals.
The BeWise Program also offers FREE mini Fairs or classes for our clients. The classes are about 1 hour long, and offer instruction on health topics such as cholesterol, diabetes, Blood Pressure, Cooking Healthy, Physical Activity, and mental wellness.
